Naperville teens created some tasty treats, “Iron Chef” style.
The Naperville Public Library put on a dessert challenge where young Napervillians put their sweet skills to the test.
The chefs had to navigate secret ingredients like bananas and Twinkies as well as other challenges like a two-inch height requirement.
And while some contestants stayed with the classics, some took a more creative route.
“I’m taking out the frosting, I put the apple on and then cover it in caramel sauce while putting the frosting inside the Twinkie,” said contestant Stephen Dodson.
And whether the final product was stuffed, smothered, dripping, or crunchy, all the delights were worthy winners.
