The town of Henderson, Nevada owns exclusive rights to the phrase “Water Street District” and sent a letter to Naperville officials threatening litigation if Naperville continued to use the name.
Henderson did not request the name be removed form already existing city ordinances, but did ask that Naperville stop using “Water Street District” when referring to the area in the future.
Council requested more time to speak with the city’s legal team before approving the settlement between the cities.
