Regional Final action with boys volleyball and the state runner ups, Neuqua Valley holds up 2 seed and face off against Bolingbrook who sit in the 10 seed spot, the winner advances to sectionals.

First Set

And the Bolingbrook Raiders are off to a strong start at home. Rico Wardlow hits this one home to put the raiders up early, 14-13.

But the two seed wildcats are not fazed, Tom Blankschein forces an error on brook to tie things up later in set one, at 18.

Neuqua with the lead and they look to hold on to it, nearing the end of set one. Jeremy Cardenas gets set up nicely and absolutely pounds one, cats up 22-20.

Bolingbrook trailing by three and they desperately need a come back. Rico Wardlow comes to the rescue against as he flies in to get the kill, cutting the cats lead to two.

Set one point for Neuqua, Jack Young and Kevin Kauling come up with a huge block to take the first set 25-21.

Second Set

One two set two and it is more of the same, Neuqua domination. Jeremy Cardenas unloads another one for cats to keep the lead, 16-13.

The Brook trailing by 5 and they are trying to hang in their. Rico Wardlow again comes up with a big point, finding an empty spot on the court, raiders trailing by 4.

The state runner ups were ready for the fight tonight as they close out the second set with a raider error, defeating the Raiders in two sets 25-21, 25-19. The Wildcats move on to play Downers Grove South in the Sectional Semifinals at Hinsdale South on Friday, May 24th! The state tournament starts next Friday, May 31st.
