We continue with our the beginning of the soccer season with Naperville Central Hosting Burlington Central. The redhawks already have a win under their belt as they welcome the 25th ranked rockets to their field.
Burlington Central is the first to find the back of the net. Isebella Hartman gives the finishing touch in the tenth minute to get the rockets on the board.
17th minute, ball is up in the air thanks to Burlington Central but it connets with Sarah Scoles head which she directs into the goal. All tied up at 1s.
Mad scramble in front of the net as the first half winds down. Burlington’s Zoey Kollhoff’s attempt is stopped by a sliding Sophie Epelbaum who gets the ball away from the net to send us to the break tied.
To the second half, Burlington Central looking to regain the lead again. Zoey Kollhoff’s shut is again stuppod by a red hawk.. this time Grace Anderson gets the credit to keeing central in the game.
75th minute and the redhawks do not want to end with a tie. Sarah Scoles again, with the right placement off a high ball directs the header into the back of the net for the win. Central is now 2-0 on the year.
