Naperville Central enters play looking for their first win of the season on a cold and windy night as they visit Nick Asuan and the Valley at Dick Kerner Stadium.

First Quarter

Just over four minutes left in the first, Jake Stegman waits around patiently and nobody steps up so he fires one into the back of the net to open up the scoring, 1-0 Central.

Under two minutes left, The Valley’s Zach Wentz is being heavily guarded by Johnny Whitaker but Wentz is able to shake him off a few times before finally getting the shot off. We are tied at 1s at the end of 1.

Second Quarter

They Valley finding their footing in the second, Nick Asuan centers to Anthony Kerr in front of the net for the goal. Valley now up 4-1.

3:30 left in the second, the valley moving the ball in transition… and they do it quickly… it eventually finds Asuan and he smokes it into the back of the net, valley up 5-1.

Just over two minutes left in the second, Centrals Jake Stegman fires the ball acrosse the field to fellow attacker Max Fuedo and he finds twine. Going into the break, Central trails 6-2.

Third Quarter

Sun is officially set and we are into the second half. Asuan again with the ball, he blows right past defenders and fires it into the back of the net. Valley extending their lead 7-2.

8 and a half left in the third and Central still trying to hang on. Jake Stegman gets swallowed up by defenders but he finds Feudo for the goal, redhawks down 4.

7 minutes left in the third and Asuan goes to work again… one on one verse a defender and he cuts right around them and bounces the shot into the net for his third goal of the game, Valley leading 8-4.

Game winding down but valley still looking to lock up the game. Zach Wentz gets a screen and goes right by the hawks and fires one home… the valley walks away with the victory 11-7.
