Naperville Central looking for their first conference win of the season, sitting 0-1 and 2 head to warrior territory to face off against Waubonsie Valley, who currently have two wins in conference.

First Half

Action starting in the first half, twentieth minute, Waubonsie’s Freddy Paniagu picks up the ball in the box and puts it past Central’s net minder Caden Redpath to open up scoring.

Just a few minutes later, Central’s freekick finds the head of Mikey Venardi who puts the ball past Bryan Grimaldo to even up the score early.

Central looking to take the lead just a few seconds later. Waubonsie’s Bryan Grimaldo spills the ball and Central’s Owen Jarrel takes advantage, putting the Redhawks in the lead, 2-1.

8 minutes left until the break and Central just contiuining their aggressiveness at the net. From the throw in the ball bounces around and on his second attempt, Mitchell Johnson gets the goal to go. Extending centrals lead 3-1.

But Waubonsie isn’t giving up. With four minutes until intermission, Waubonsie’s Danny Fritz finds Zac Stanley all alone who slots the ball past Redpath, cutting in to the hawks lead, 3-2.

Second Half

Into the second half, WV with some fancy footwork. Milan Erastus shows off his moves and gets the cross to Glorioso who sends one right to Ethan Gentile for the stop.

With under a minute left in the game, a mad scramble in the box leads to Waubaonsie’s last attempt but it is saved, giving Naperville Central their first conference win, 3-2.
