Sectional Semi Girls Water Polo action with Hinsdale Central facing off against Naperville Central. The Redhawks got knocked off in the Sectionals Finals last year from rivals Naperville North but look to get back to state like they did in 2017.
First Half
Naperville Central already leading 1-0 in the first half and they continue to fire, Emily Wagner rings one up from deep, 2-0 now.
Hinsdale trying to answer, Katrina Giershbach gets one to go to get the red devils on the board, trailing by 3.
But Central remaining in control, Maggie Toeniss battling off a defender right in front of the net finds the back of it to extend centrals lead 7-1.
Second Half
Coming out of the break, the Redhawks leading 13-2 now but Hinsdale is battling back, Hannah Fuechtman finishes into the corner of the goal, 13-3 now.
But Naperville Central was determined and Jodie Nelson… almost effortlessly hits one from deep to close out this game, 18-4 over Hinsdale Central. Naperville Central moves on to play St. Charles North in the Sectional Semifinals.
