Community Plaza Groundbreaking

Construction on the 95th Street Community Plaza will begin in May. The Naperville Park District scheduled a ceremonial groundbreaking at 4:30 p.m. on May 22 at the 2.2-acre site, following staff’s recent look at construction bids for the $3.6 million project. The park board will receive a proposed contract for bids on site work and infrastructure at its next meeting this month.

City Water Survey

The City of Naperville is asking residents to complete a survey that will check the quality of their water. Last week, the city’s backflow inspection program contractor, Backflow Solutions, Inc., mailed surveys to residents, which when completed and returned, will help the city’s Cross Connection Control Program protect public water supply from potential contamination. The survey is mandated by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency every two years. It’s available for residents to fill out on the city’s website.
