Five Chicagoland athletes on Team USA had a strong showing at the recent Obstacle Course Racing World Championships, coming back with a bevy of medals.

Park district plans celebration for Fort Hill Activity Center’s 10th anniversary
The Naperville Park District is holding a 10th anniversary celebration of the Fort Hill Activity Center on Saturday, Aug. 22. The event will feature activities for people of all ages from 9 a.m. to noon at the center, located at 20 Fort Hill Drive.
Festivities will include an AI photo booth, a sensory room offered through the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association, and opportunities to enter drawings. Light refreshments will also be served.
Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in three free fitness classes the day of the commemorative event, with Zumba from 9 to 9:55 a.m., a body jam class from 10:05 to 11 a.m., and a yoga class from 10:45 to 11:40 a.m.
Dianne Hutchison celebrates 50 years with the Naperville Municipal Band
Naperville Municipal Band member Diane Hutchison was recently honored with a special concert by the group to celebrate her 50th anniversary with the band.
Hutchison started with the band as an oboe player in 1976, but soon shifted over to the flute, an instrument she’d played throughout high school and college.
