District 204 

District 204 board members approved the budget bids to start making repairs on various school facilities. The maintenance will involve masonry issues, roof repairs, and flooring replacements among other upkeep. The meeting also included a discussion of a new five-year budget forecast, which predicts local operating funds to increase within the next few years. Teachers’ salaries and benefits are also predicted to experience a spending increase.

 

Rothenfluh Retiring from Library

Naperville Public Library Executive Director Julie Rothenfluh announced she will retire in June. Rothenfluh has worked in the Naperville library system since 1997 and has served as executive director for the past six years. Her tenure saw $5 million in renovations to library buildings and the additions of several new library amenities. Library officials will conduct a national search to find Rothenfluh’s replacement.

The informal meet-and-greet with Marshall and other senior police staff will be from 5-7 p.m.
