NaperLaunch

Eyes were on the prize at the Naperville Public Library’s NaperLauch Pitch Competition over the weekend. Three finalists pitched their business plans to judges for a $3,300-prize. Dapo Kolawole won first place with his mobile app idea, Citispoon. The app lets you see real life wait times as you’re deciding on a restaurant. The runner-ups were Pankaj Parashar and Theresa Puskar.

Neuqua Valley finished in fourth as a team, while Naperville North took home the third place state trophy. Leading the Huskies were Stephanie Liang and Taylor Zhou, who finished fourth in doubles, while sophomore Bhaavya Manikonda dominated all weekend, winning the singles state championship without losing a single set.
