New Look Starbucks

At last night’s Liquor Commission meeting, Starbucks announced plans to transform its Downtown Naperville location from a Starbucks Reserve to Princi – the company’s new upscale café. The menu offerings will include freshly made pizzas and sandwiches, and alcoholic beverages would also be served.

Park District Commissioner

Josh McBroom is the newest commissioner to sit on the Naperville Park District Board after his swearing in last night. He joined returning commissioners Marie Todd and Rich Janor in taking the oath of office, which was facilitated by DuPage County Associate Circuit Court Judge Kavita Athanikar. McBroom will take the place of Jim Ensign on the board, who chose not to run for reelection in the April election. Ensign was presented a plaque for his many years of service to the park district as both a commissioner and employee.

Paul Harris Award

The Rotary Club of Naperville honored non-Rotary members who contribute to the community with its Paul Harris Community Awards. Ned Bacon was honored for Club Service. Paul Hinterlong, Rita Pennington, and Susie Wing were honored for Community Service. Dr. Vemuri S. Murthy was honored for International Service along with Jerome McDonnell who could not attend. Janice Borla, Jack Mouse, Bill Novack and Julie Rothenfluh were honored for Vocational Service. And Ann Cluxton, Kathy Gasser, and Ellen Spitalli were honored for Youth Service. Congratulations to all the award recipients!
