Attempted Armed Robbery

This morning, around 6:55 a.m., Naperville Police officers responded to a call of an attempted armed robbery. The incident occurred in the area of Bauer Road and Briergate Drive near the Cress Creek Country Club where a black man approached the victim on foot with a handgun, demanding money.

Descriptions

The man who approached the victim was wearing a mask and black hooded sweatshirt. He was in a late model, maroon-colored Cadillac with tinted windows and spoked wheels. After approaching the victim, he eventually got back in the car and left the area.

Another car, which was a black Sedan, was also at the scene and police believe it is stolen. There is no description of the vehicle and it’s unknown how many people were in it. The driver fled the scene with the Cadillac.

Ongoing Investigation
