The Naperville Central varsity softball field is that much closer to changing for the better.
The District 203 board approved a bid of $824,700 from Lite Construction Inc. to construct new dugouts, a press box, fencing, and much more, to match the same standard as the varsity baseball field.
Instead of renovating the current field on the corner of West Street and Martin Avenue in Knoch Park, the district opted to relocate to a different field that’s closer to the baseball field.
Construction is slated to begin this summer.
Also, the next Focus 203 events on March 13 and 14 will discuss the district’s unique programming and services, which was the topic originally slated for January’s cancelled event.
