A Chicago Wolves hockey player stopped by the 95th Street Library to talk about “Read To Succeed.”

Defenseman, number 32, Zach Whitecloud chatted with young fans about his favorite books, answered questions, and even gave some advice.

“You know making sure that you do your homework and making sure that you try to read as much as you can because there are more things than just iPads and technology out there now,” said Whitecloud.

Everyone took home some Wolves-themed prizes and autographs.

And one lucky fan even got to try on Zach’s practice gear.

The Chicago Wolves’ “Read To Succeed” program visits over 100 libraries throughout the area, encouraging children to spend more time in libraries and reach their reading goals.
