Farmington Park was the third of five playgrounds reopening this summer.
Kids were excited to play on the new additions which included two new swings, a rolling platform, lots of climbing structures, and a new picnic shelter for parents to sit and relax.
“There was great resident input from the Farmington neighborhood. They came out and gave suggestions for a shelter and also suggested more swings so we put that in there,” said Jessica Burgdorf, project manager with the Naperville Park District and designer of the park.
One climbing structure for kids aged two through five, two for kids aged five through 12, and a teeter-totter complete the park.
The next playground reopening celebration will be at University Heights Park on July 10.
