A special guest sporting a cat-ear headband is coming to the DuPage Children’s Museum this weekend.

Gabby from Netflix’s “Gabby’s Dollhouse” will be at the Naperville museum for “Gabby’s Dollhouse MEOWseum Discovery Days.”

“(In) ‘Gabby’s Dollhouse’ the characters go on all of these fantastic adventures together. It’s right now, the number one kid’s show on Netflix,” said Cassie Coffey, Director of Playful Experiences at DuPage Children’s Museum. “Gabby is this wonderful character. She is a girl who transforms herself into a smaller version that can hop into her own dollhouse. And she has all of these different kitty friends that live in her dollhouse, and they play and imagine and create together.”

A weekend full of cat-tastic activities inspired by “Gabby’s Dollhouse”

This event brings the cat-loving star to museum visitors who can sign up for a meet-and-greet.

“We have time sessions on our website available Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this weekend. And so families sign up for a specific session online,” said Coffey.

The museum will also have Gabby-inspired activities like dance-alongs, arts and crafts, and sensory play.

“Gabby is all about this positive thinking of, ‘I can’t do it yet,’ right? This whole idea of ‘yet’ is that we learn through failure and mistakes and practicing, and that’s very connected to our philosophy here at the museum,” said Coffey.

Gabby’s Dollhouse MEOWseum Discovery Days runs August 21-23 and is in collaboration with DreamWorks Animation and the Association of Children’s Museums. The exhibit is included with museum admission.
