With summer around the corner the Indian Prairie Parents’ Council hosted an event letting students know what they can do over the break.

The IPPC hosted their 11th annual Student Summer Activities Fair.

Over 45 vendors attended the event, sharing information about academic classes, STEM activities, music classes, sport camps, as well as volunteer opportunities for students.

The options had some students excited for summer.

“The camps!” said Zack Shayeb.

“Yeah definitely the summer camps and the school of rock over there, both were very exciting,” added Jacob Shayeb.

“I’m really excited about the camps too,” said Elaine Shayeb.

And parents are looking forward to getting the kids out the house.

“I’m excited that they told me they all wanted to leave the house for three weeks this summer,” said Kristin Shayeb, mother of the kids. “So yes, after winter we’ll be happy to get out of the basement.”

If you couldn’t make it to the event, you can visit District 204’s website for information on the exhibitors that were at the event.
