We get our first taste of the girls lacrosse season with the Benet Academy Redwings traveling to Naperville Central.
Game scoreless with 15 minutes left in the first. Benet’s Margaret Snyder opening up scoring with this goal, Benet up 1-0.
8:28 left in one and Benet really kicking it in to high gear. Karly Keating going across the net and then firing on back in, Benet with the commanding 5-0 lead.
Central fighting back with 321 left in the first, Off of a pass from Lena Balducci, Choe Connor scores. Cutting Benet’s lead to 6.
Central starting to really figure it out with seconds left in the first, Alexie Romanelli finds twine, central down 8-3 at the break.
22:48 left in the game now, BA’s Caroline Covey working her way through traffic and eventually it pays off for the goal, Benet up 10-4. Cover with 6 goals in the game.
Benet’s Karly Keating putting the game on ice with this goal from way out. Keating with 4 goals on the day as Benet walks away with the victory 15-6.
After the game we talked with Redwing Karly Keating where she talked about the offense working well and the defense stopping attacks.
