Benet Academy football made the long trip west to face 1A powerhouse Lena-Winslow to kick off the season. This play is presented by Trunnell Insurance.
Luca Diomede shows off his speed
Luca Diomede made sure the trip was worthwhile for the Redwing faithful. After a Panther touchdown put Lena-Winslow up 22-14 late in the first half, Diomede took the ensuing kickoff all the way back for a game-changing touchdown. Benet pulled ahead in the second half for a season-opening 34-28 victory and the Play of the Week for Luca Diomede.
