We get some DVC action as Metea Valley travels to Naperville North who sits undefeated in the conference and 7-2-2 on the year. The mustangs chasing the trails, sitting 4-4-3.
First Half
Metea gets the first look early in the first half. Chaos in front of the night as a few Huskies try to get a shot off but Ghandi Cruz snags the ball for the save.
Metea’s turn a little while later for a good look as Abraham Antar has a free kick but North’s Jason Barba deflects it away to keep the board empty.
Antar gets another go off a free kick closer to the net but he has too much energy as the ball hits the goal post rather than the twine.
Just under 17 minutes to play until the break, Ty Konrad pushing down the field. He sends a shot which is blocked by Cruz but the rebound falls to the feet of Patrick Koenig who gets the shot off.
Second Half
Into the second half and the Mustangs looking to tie the game up. Alex Krehl takes a shot but huskie goal keeper Jason Barba is there for the save.
While Metea is looking to tie the game, the huskies are looking to extend their lead and that’s exactly what happens at Josh Kaufman finds twine with 16 minutes left in the game, 2-nil north.
And they don’t stop there, Another long throw in bounces around in the box until North’s Nathan Marassa knocks it in to seal North’s win, 3-0 over Metea Valley which continues the North’s clean sheet in conference play.
