The Waubonsie Metea Co-op, known as the Valley, welcomes the Naperville North huskies into Metea for a girls lacrosse conference show down.

First Half

Just a minute and a half into the game, off a restart, Audrey Ahrler gets the valley on the board as she attacks the net. 1-0

Five and a half minutes into the game, valley pushing down the field as Caitlin Beacom connects with Raegan Storin who finds twine. Valley doubling their lead 2-0

But thirty seconds later the huskies find their grove as Rachel Goff goes around the net and then sends the rock to the back of the net. Huskies trailing by 1.

After another valley goal, huskies looking to stick with them. Audrey Johnson gets the pass on the side of the net, runs to it and gets the goal to go. 3-2 huskies still trailing.

It’s a scoring fest here in the first half, 11 minutes in and Jenna Urban gets the pass from Whitney Kueltzo for the score. 4-2 valley leading.

Just over three minutes to go until the break, Audrey Johnson off the restart goes on the diagonal for the goal. Dogs still down 5-4.

The Valley, though, their offense is really connecting tonight. Audra Thompson gets the quick pass and releases and finds the back of the net pushing the valleys lead up 6-4 at the break.

Second Half

Just a minute into the half into the second half, Rachel Goff from twenty yards out heads in on the attack and goes top shelf for the goal, Huskies just trailing by 1 now.

But the Valley seemed to eat their Wheaties at the break… Ragan Kueltzo off the restart pushes their lead up 9-6.

Huskies Rachel Goff seemed to put the team on her back though.. she grabs the quick restart goal to tie the game up at 9s. just another one of her 5 goals on the night.

And then with under four minutes to play, North’s Mary Tuskey gets a goal for North to take their first lead of the game, leading 10-9.

But then it’s the valley’s turn to tie it up. Ehrler fighting with her defenders but still manages to get a shot off to tie the game up at 10s.

This back and fourth battle has to come to an end and Raegan Storin is the one to close the book with 25 seconds left she gets to the front of the net and let’s one fly for The Valley to take the hard fought victory 11-10.
