For 25 years, Spotlight has provided local nonprofits with an opportunity to introduce themselves to the community by sharing their missions, the work they do, and ways Naperville residents can get involved.
This year, IntentGen Financial Partners joined NCTV17 as the Spotlight sponsor, creating a natural partnership centered on community, generosity, and meaningful impact.
Empowering people to live intentionally and generously
Zach Larson, founding partner and wealth advisor at Intention Financial Partners, says the connection between the company and Spotlight is rooted in a shared purpose.
“Your purpose is much bigger,” Larson said of NCTV17. “You inform, you connect, you invite people into the community. And we’re a financial planning, retirement planning company. But we think our purpose is much bigger.”
Intention Financial Partners exists to “empower people to live intentionally and generously,” Larson explained. That means helping people spend and give with confidence—and understanding where their generosity can make a difference.
Spotlight helps make that connection possible by introducing viewers to organizations making an impact throughout the community.
Giving back to the community
For a local business that has operated in the community for more than two decades, giving back is a natural extension of the support IntentGen Financial Partners has received.
Larson compared the concept to the difference between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea. Both receive water from the Jordan River, but the Sea of Galilee also allows water to flow out, creating life. The Dead Sea only receives and accumulates.
After benefiting from clients, referrals, community support, and employees who live and work locally, Larson said the company feels called to pour that support back into the community.
“How can we help generosity flow into the community?” he asked. “And so it’s a very natural response, and it gives a lot of life.”
