Naperville Attorney Parachutes off Courthouse

A Naperville attorney entered a guilty plea for criminal trespass yesterday after he parachuted off the roof of the Will County Courthouse. Adam Wirtz, of the law firm Roscich & Martel, was arrested in February for a 1 a.m. parachute off the roof of the 10-story Will County Courthouse around, which was under construction. A Will County Judge issued Wirtz a $600 fine, 12 months of court supervision, and 100 hours of community service.

DuPage County Fair

Tomorrow is opening day for the 2019 DuPage County Fair. Round up the whole family for a trip out to the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton where you can get up close with farm animals in Ag-ventureland, hop on a thrilling ride, or sample some fair food. The fair runs Wednesday to Sunday with free parking and different admission rates for kids and seniors depending on when you go.

Metea Hockey Star

Exciting news for Metea Valley hockey player Lyndie Lobdell was announced over the weekend. The senior defender was selected to play in the Under-18 Women’s National Festival in Lake Placid from August 5-14. Lobdell is a two-time All-State player for the Naper Valley Warriors. She also plays for the Chicago Mission club team and plays summer hockey in the Chicago Pro Hockey League.
