Waubonsie Valley’s Derrien Porter hits a big time three which helped make Waubonsie Valley Basketball history as they went on to win a regional title for the first time in 11 years.
We hit the hardwood for a historic boys play of the week. Waubonsie Valley playing for their first regional title in 11 years… clock ticking down in the second quarter and Derrien porter looking to make the last shot before the break… he works towards the basket then back out only to grab the three pointer right before the buzzer goes off… talk about some nifty ball handling skills as he is in control the entire time helping Waubonsie take home the first regional championship in over a decade for Waubonsie Valley’s Derrien Porter and the play of the week. The Warriors now advance to the first round of sectionals where they will face Oswego East on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019.
