Illinois Tollway Board passes toll rate increase
The Illinois Tollway Board voted Wednesday to approve a toll rate increase, which will go into effect Jan. 1, 2027.
The increase will help fund the “Driving Connections” plan, a new $26.5 billion capital program to help provide upgrades and repairs to the tollway system over a 15-year stretch.
